A true dance-floor classic has returned with a bold new identity. Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Dutch DJ Pat B have joined forces for a fresh remake of “Turn The Tide,” breathing new-school hardstyle energy into one of the most recognisable Belgian dance records of the early 2000s.
Released on 17 July 2026 via Smash The House, the collaboration transforms the emotional original into a high-impact modern anthem while preserving the elements that made it a favourite in the first place.

For many dance music fans, “Turn The Tide” represents a defining era of vocal trance and Eurodance. Sylver’s original version became known for its sweeping melodies, emotional vocal performance and unforgettable sense of uplift. More than 25 years on, that familiar feeling remains at the heart of this new release—but the sound has been rebuilt for today’s clubs, festival stages and hard dance crowds.
The remake begins with a wave of nostalgia, allowing the famous vocal and melodic atmosphere to take centre stage. From there, Dimitri Vegas and Pat B steer the track toward a tougher and more contemporary direction. Progressive chords rise beneath whirring synths, bass stabs hit with added force, and the production erupts into hard-hitting drops made for maximum dance-floor impact.
Rather than abandoning the original’s trance roots, the trio use them as the foundation for something bigger. The result is a crossover record that can appeal to longtime Sylver followers, mainstage EDM audiences and the new generation discovering the song for the first time.
Dimitri “Vegas” Thivaios brings considerable festival pedigree to the collaboration. As one half of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, he has helped shape the sound of modern big-room electronic music and performed at some of the world’s largest events, including Tomorrowland. His presence gives the new “Turn The Tide” the scale of a major festival record.
Alongside him is Pat B, real name Patrick Burreman, the Dutch DJ whose hard dance influence gives the release its harder edge. His contribution is felt in the punchy rhythmic drive and powerful energy running through the rework, adding an extra layer of intensity to the classic melody.
For Sylver, the release arrives at a meaningful time. The group has been celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Turn The Tide” with a limited-edition merchandise collection and an extensive 2026 European tour, which began at Belgium’s Sportpaleis. The new version serves as both a celebration of the track’s legacy and proof that its appeal has not faded.
With its combination of classic vocal trance emotion, nostalgic melody and present-day hardstyle pressure, Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Pat B’s “Turn The Tide” is built to unite generations. It honours a record that helped soundtrack the early 2000s while giving it enough weight to shake speakers in 2026.
